The why
The work is keeping the promise when it is inconvenient.
Most programs sell a better body. That was never the hole. The hole is quieter: I say I will, then I negotiate. One skip becomes a pattern. The pattern becomes how I treat myself.
Andy Frisella's 75 Hard got this part right. It is a mental toughness program. Discipline is a skill, not a personality. You train it with reps and no edits — no “I'll start Monday.” Every exception teaches your brain that exceptions are allowed. That is the whole problem.
I built 75 Trust because I wanted something customizable, aimed at the wall I am up against right now. His program is the spine: seventy-five days, one miss and you start over. My five are not his five. They had to be the promises I actually break. Friends write theirs the same way. The body will change. That is a byproduct. The point is being able to count on myself again.
If I cannot keep a small promise on a hard day, I will not keep a large one when it counts.
I am starting now. Waiting is the same as deciding not to. If you are someone I trust, I want you in it with me — two to five of us, our own rules, a group text, the proof card at the end of each day. You do not run my list. You lock yours. We do not need an audience. We need witnesses who care.
Come rebuild the trust. Seventy-five days. No edits.
Not sure what your five should be? After you sign in there is a short interview that will push back until the rules are hard enough.
